SZ Root-Resistant APP/SBS Polymers Modified Asphalt Waterproofing Membrane for Green Roofs

A waterproofing membrane with root penetration resistance, made by taking APP/SBS polymer or other polymer-

modified bitumen as the base and adding imported root inhibitors, is called modified bitumen root-resistant 

waterproofing membrane (also known as root barrier membrane, anti-root membrane).The thickness of this type 

of membrane is not less than 4mm, with a width of 1m and a length of 10m or 7.5m per roll. The surface of the 

membrane is covered with polyethylene (PE) film, sand, aluminum (AL) foil or mineral particles (sheets).The membrane 

is available with reinforcements such as polyester felt, glass fiber felt, glass fiber reinforced polyester felt, and composite felt.

Mainly used for waterproofing and root resistance of green roofs

1. The base surface shall be firm, flat, dry and clean, and the base treatment agent shall be evenly applied;

2. Mark the datum control line;

3. The lap width shall be 80 ~ 100mm;

4. Generally, hot-melt full-adhesion roller construction is adopted, and the operation process and method are the 

same as those of conventional APP/SBS modified bitumen waterproofing membrane;

5. Seal and close the edge of the hot-melt membrane;

6. Suitable for construction under the conditions of -10℃ ~ 35℃ and wind force within level 4.
